Our History

Funcity Soccer Academy was founded in May 2025 with a clear mission — to nurture and develop young soccer talent while shaping well-rounded individuals both on and off the pitch. What began as a small program with just a few dedicated players has grown into a respected academy recognized for its professional coaching, strong values, and inclusive approach. From the start, our vision has been to create a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where children from all walks of life can access quality football training. Over time, we have expanded our programs to cater to multiple age categories, from U7 to U15, welcoming both boys and girls, and blending technical skills development with essential values like discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Our outreach initiatives also allow us to scout talented players from underserved communities, ensuring they receive the same world-class coaching as fully registered members. This balanced approach — combining community support with professional training — has made Funcity Soccer Academy a trusted name in youth football development.

FSA Philosophy

We believe in an inclusive approach where every player, regardless of background or financial status, has equal access to high-quality training and opportunities. Our programs are designed to help all members achieve their full potential, with additional outreach programs supporting talented youth from underserved areas.

What started with just a few passionate kids and dedicated volunteers has now grown into a thriving community program with over 65 players across age groups U7, U9, U11, U13, and U15. From our earliest training sessions on borrowed pitches to partnering with local schools and communities, our journey has been driven by one goal: changing lives through the beautiful game.

Grassroots to Growth

Funcity SA was founded to bridge a gap — to bring structured, quality football coaching and mentorship to young players in Nairobi’s underserved neighborhoods. Over the years, we’ve scouted raw talent from Kware, Baba Dogo, Kibera, and Kawangware, welcoming them into a safe, supportive space where they can build skills and confidence.

Shaping Futures

With every training session, match, and community outreach, we continue to inspire our players to dream bigger — not just on the pitch, but in life. Many of our players are the first in their families to access organized sports and mentorship. Today, through dedicated coaching, local partnerships, and the Funcity SA Foundation, we proudly provide pathways for young athletes to combine education and football, staying focused and motivated for the future.
